Course Highlight

The DCMS & Surgery program represents a transformative initiative in medical education and rural healthcare. By training competent practitioners to deliver essential medical services and perform minor surgical procedures, this program aims to improve healthcare access and quality in rural areas. Its objective is to significantly enhance the medical landscape in India by addressing gaps in rural healthcare and ensuring that high-quality medical care is available to underserved populations.

Semester-wise Course Overview

After completing the two-year classroom training program, each student will undergo a six-month allopathic internship at a nearby government hospital. During this internship, students will perform minor surgeries, such as applying stitches and treating burns or cuts, and gain experience with other minor medical procedures. This hands-on experience is intended to prepare students for their future medical practice.
